Irene Valle Corpas
Investigadora posdoctoral en Estudios de Cine y Arte Contemporáneo en la Universidad de Valencia
Irene Valle Corpas is a postdoctoral researcher in film and contemporary art studies at the University of Valencia, and previously at the University of Granada. She holds a degree in art history, and her research focuses on the artistic production of the 1960s and 1970s in Europe and the Americas, with a special emphasis on cinema. Her perspective seeks to bridge different fields within the humanities, including the anthropology of art, phenomenology, film history, cultural and visual history, feminism, and the history of subjectivity.
She has been a visiting researcher at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales and the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts, both in Paris, as well as at the University of Bordeaux. She also completed a one-year postdoctoral stay at UNAM in Mexico. She has been a humanities fellow at the prestigious Residencia de Estudiantes and a cultural manager at Tabacalera, a cultural space under the Ministry of Culture of Spain.
She has published numerous articles and book chapters on film, social movements, and contemporary art, and has curated exhibitions and public activities for various centers. She is the author of the book «Un poco de política». Jean-Luc Godard, la ciudad y la subjetividad contemporánea (EUG, 2023) and editor of the book Reversos del amor. Conflictos afectivos en la cultura contemporánea (Sílex, 2023).
