Within the framework of his personal project “Know your enemy: image and imaginaries”, Professor Vicente Sánchez-Biosca is carrying out a three-month research stay (Salvador de Madariaga Senior Scholarship) at the Zentrum for Antisemitismusforschung (Technische Universität Berlin), under the direction of Professor Stefanie Schüler-Springorum. The aim is to investigate, through cross-sections, the representations of the Jewish enemy by the Third Reich. In addition to an extraordinary library, probably the best in Europe, on anti-Semitism, the Zentrum manages Arthur Langeman’s excellent collection of more than 8,000 anti-Semitic objects, including postcards, newspapers, posters, stickers, paintings, prints, drawings and even wooden objects. Professor Uffa Jensen, assisted by Angelika Königseder and Carl-Eric Linsler are working on a detailed inventory and the organization of exhibitions with the help of this material.
