Irene Cárcel Ejarque

Investigadora predoctoral. Especialidad: Estética y Teoría de las Artes

Irene Cárcel Ejarque has a degree in Philosophy from the Universitat de València, where she has also completed the Master’s Degree in Contemporary Philosophical Thought and the Master’s Degree in Secondary Education Teaching. She is currently developing her doctoral thesis within the framework of the project “Contemporary Representations of the Perpetrator of Mass Violence: Concepts, Narratives and Images” (HAR2017-83519-P) under the direction of Anacleto Ferrer Mas and Vicente Sánchez-Biosca, within the Doctoral Program in Contemporary Philosophical Thought at the University of Valencia and thanks to FPU grant (Formación del Profesorado Universitario). Her field of research is philosophical aesthetics and image theory related to perpetrator studies. Her research focuses on the migration and resignification of the images of the Valley of the Fallen since its establishment until today.
