Nuria Girona Fibla

Profesora titular del Departamento de Filología Española de la Universitat de València

Nuria Girona Fibla is a tenured professor in the Department of Spanish Philology at the University of Valencia (Spain). Her research focuses on Latin American literature, Cultural Studies, and Gender Studies, with a particular interest in borderline genres such as the historical novel, testimony, and autobiography. Among her notable publications are Rituales de la verdad. Mujeres y discursos en América Latina (2008), the critical edition of Tala y Lagar by Gabriela Mistral (2001), the chapter on “Baltasar Garzón: Legal Imagination Against Francoism” (in Escrituras de la memoria: la Guerra Civil española, 2022), and more recently, various articles on presidential memoirs. She has led several research projects, including: “Culture as a Development Resource: Practices, Discourses, and Representations in Contemporary Modernizing Processes” (Ref.: FFI2011-28005); “Culture and New Social Movements: Practices, Discourses, and Representations” (Ref.: FFI2014-55207-P); and “Discursive Processes on the Internet: Enunciative Shifts and Hyperbolic Effects in Political Discourse” (Ref.: RTI2018-093523-B-I00).
